Lisa Phelps, LICSW

"I am a solution‑focused therapist who brings empathy, curiosity, and a grounded, reality‑based approach to every session. My goal is to understand your experiences and how they show up in your day‑to‑day life so we can make sense of them together in a clear, supportive, and practical way.

"I see it as a privilege to be invited into someone’s life in such a personal way. I strive to create a space where you feel respected, understood, and comfortable speaking openly about whatever is on your mind.

"In my practice, I offer a safe, steady environment built on mutual respect and trust. Together, we focus on the issues and goals that matter most to you. My style is empathic, compassionate, non‑judgmental, and genuine.

"I have particular experience supporting individuals navigating mid-life changes and transitions, including shifts in identity, relationships, and roles; parenting at different stages; career reevaluation; caregiving for aging parents; menopause; and questions around meaning, balance, and what comes next. I also work with concerns related to anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, family conflict, women’s issues, work–life balance, grief, and loss.

"Whatever brings you in, my hope is that you feel supported, heard, and safe throughout the process—and that our work together helps you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self‑understanding."

Lisa earned a Master of Social Work degree at Boston College. Before that, she graduated with highest honors from Regis College with a BA in Sociology.
