Melissa Grieco-Waters, LICSW has a wide range of experience working with adults in individual, group and couples treatment. She practices an eclectic style of therapy to form an individualized treatment approach that best meets a person’s needs utilizing cognitive behavioral, insight oriented, and trauma informed models of care. She believes in developing a collaborative partnership to make healthy and lasting changes.
Melissa treats depression, substance use disorders, bipolar spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, OCD, ADHD, gender dysphoria and other diagnoses. Melissa has a strong background in addictions work in both inpatient and outpatient settings utilizing harm reduction and abstinence based recovery models. She is an LGBTQ and gender identity informed therapist with experience helping with related issues including coming out, gender dysphoria, non-binary identity and medical transitioning. Melissa also has training and experience with sexual issues, interpersonal and relationship issues, co-dependency, grief and loss, chronic pain and chronic illness, and women’s issues including pregnancy, post-partum and PMDD.
A Pennsylvania native, Melissa completed her BS in Psychology at Ursinus College and her Master’s of Social Work at Widener University.
